Border guards destroyed a rare Russian drone ‘Skat’ for $400,000 Video 05.06.2026 03:51 Ukrinform In the South Slobozhanshchyna direction, fighters of the “Strix” unmanned systems unit of the State Border Guard Service destroyed a rare Russian reconnaissance drone “Skat 450M”.
As Ukrinform reports, this was announced by the SBGS, which released the corresponding video.
“A rare trophy: border guards of the “Strix” unit destroyed the second rare enemy reconnaissance UAV “Skat 450M” in the South Slobozhanshchyna direction,” the post reads.
As noted by the SBGS, throughout the war, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have shot down no more than 20 such aircraft.
“Skat 450M” is one of the enemy’s key platforms for deep aerial reconnaissance and fire adjustment, the military noted.
The estimated cost of this drone is around $400,000.
As Ukrinform reported, in March, fighters of the “Strix” unit announced the destruction of a Russian UAV “Skat 450M”.
